Another Milestone Achieved: ‘The Silent Epidemic’ Wins National Recognition 🏆

A moment of immense pride for all of us! Our co-produced documentary, The Silent Epidemic, has been honoured with the Best Non-Feature Film Award at the 71st National Film Awards, presented by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu.

This achievement is more than a cinematic milestone — it is a recognition of a silent public health crisis that often goes unheard: the human toll of road crashes.
The film gives voice to those whose lives have been irrevocably changed — from Paralympic gold medallist Sumit Antil, who turned his pain into remarkable resilience, to a family coping with the heartbreaking loss of their young son in a hit-and-run tragedy.

The Silent Epidemic is presented by Raahgiri Foundation and Cinema4Good, in association with Wheeling Happiness Foundation. The film was directed by Akshat Gupta, produced by Sarika Panda Bhatt and Jitendra Mishra, with creative production by Akash Basu.

“Road crashes are not just statistics — they are stories of lives upended and dreams lost.”
Sarika Panda Bhatt, Director, Nagarro & Founder-Trustee, Raahgiri Foundation

“This award is not just a win for the film but a call to action for society.”
Jitendra Mishra, Producer

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of this journey — to the communities and families who courageously shared their stories, and to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the jury of the National Film Awards for recognizing this work and its impact.

The win reaffirms our belief that storytelling can drive change — inspiring collective action for safer streets, responsible mobility, and a future free from preventable road tragedies.
