In continuation of the Breath of Change series, under the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) Resource Lab, the third workshop was held at the Delhi Secretariat with the support of the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) and Nagarro.

The workshop brought together 170+ participants from agencies such as the Public Works Department (PWD), BSES Delhi, and several others — all united by a shared goal: to drive a sustained movement towards cleaner air, dust-free roads, and healthier, more livable cities.

These workshops are not just one-time interventions but part of an ongoing effort to reimagine road development through a fresh, human-centered approach.

The session went beyond conventional presentations and featured engaging, hands-on activities:
👉 Experiential activity to help participants visualize and reflect on their daily road journeys and challenges.
👉 Outdoor site exercise to identify real-world issues and explore practical solutions for safer and more inclusive streets, especially for vulnerable road users (VRUs).
👉 Mentimeter activity to capture participants’ insights and understanding.
👉 Group presentations where teams shared solutions to specific challenges observed during the field exercise.

Dr. S. D. Attri, Member–Technical, CAQM, emphasized that the CAQM Resource Lab, in collaboration with Raahgiri Foundation, is committed to mitigating air pollution through innovative and sustainable road development practices. He also highlighted the critical role of green belts, linking them to the long-term well-being of our cities and communities.

The workshop also featured:

  • A screening of “Ek Sadak Ki Kahaani”, showcasing the transformation of Gurugram’s Sanath Road into a people’s street.

  • The Vayu Mitra Pledge, reinforcing the collective responsibility for clean air.

Shri Sandeep Mishra, IAS, Member Secretary, DPCC, spoke about the human element behind this mission:

“This push for ‘Complete Streets’ is a shared responsibility. I urge all officers and engineers to approach this task with full sincerity and dedication. Our success depends on your committed bhaagidari (participation) and sincere yogdaan (contribution) in implementing these technical frameworks on the ground.”

With this, the Breath of Change series continues to build momentum—transforming policies into action and roads into safe, clean, and people-friendly spaces.
